Your business already works. The software should catch up.

We study how your firm truly runs, then shape modern software and AI around it — never the reverse.

Every system you have bought has made you bend to fit its rules.

The CRM you inherited — built for a business that was never quite yours, so half your work still happens elsewhere: a spreadsheet, an inbox, somebody's memory.

The software nobody opens — paid for every month, consulted perhaps twice a year.

And you, holding the whole thing together — quietly filling the gaps no one designed for, because these tools were built for a business that isn't quite this one. You were never the problem. The fit was.

What we do

Three moves. Conducted in your language, not a template's.

01

We map your firm

Before any tool is touched, we spend time understanding how the work genuinely moves through your business — described in your own words, not translated into ours.

02

We make the tools fit

Modern software and artificial intelligence, shaped to your way of working rather than the reverse. Whatever already earns its keep stays exactly as it is; we fill only the gaps that are quietly costing you money.

03

It runs your way

The result behaves the way your firm already does: quietly, in the background, never needing to be chased.

Who this is for

Owner-run firms, quietly drowning in their own success.

This is you

You run a firm of somewhere between five and fifty people. It works, more or less — that's rather the trouble. You've outgrown the way you hold it all together, and what you want, at last, are tools that fit how you actually work.

This isn't

You're a start-up chasing the latest shiny thing, or you want artificial intelligence simply because everyone else has it. We're not that kind of consultancy. We fix the fit — and if there's nothing worth fixing, we'll say so plainly.

The Initial Audit

You leave with the map.

A plain-English map of exactly how your firm operates, showing precisely where the tools are working against you, what deserves fixing first, and what fixing it is likely worth. Yours to keep regardless of what you decide to do next.

  • A clear account of how work genuinely moves through your firm, today.
  • The precise points at which your current software has you working to its rules, not yours.
  • Where modern software and artificial intelligence would truly earn their place — and where they would not.
  • A short, ordered list of what to address first, ranked by how quickly it pays for itself.
  • A candid estimate of what each fix is worth, in time reclaimed and money saved.

The map remains yours to keep, whether or not we go on to work together.

Book a meetingIt begins with a forty-five-minute discovery call. The audit itself is scoped from there.
What happens once you book

No mystery. Just three steps.

Step one

Pick a time

Choose whatever slot suits you. There's no form to complete first, and no sales call masquerading as something else.

Step two

A 45-minute discovery call

We talk through how your firm actually runs, and where the tools are working against it. You do most of the talking; we do the listening.

Step three

The Initial Audit

If there's something worth mapping in detail, we scope the audit properly and set out exactly what it involves before you commit to a thing.

About Stephenson

Business consultants first. Technology second.

We are a small practice, and that's by design. There's no account manager standing between you and the work; you deal directly with whoever is doing it.

We begin with your business, never with a piece of software. Once we understand how your firm truly operates, we shape modern tools to sit around it. No jargon. No reshaping your business to fit someone else's system.

If a tool you already own is doing its job well, it stays exactly where it is. Our only real interest is the fit — and being honest with you about where it currently isn't.

Questions

The honest answers.

We already have software.
Good. Our task is to make what you already have fit properly, filling only the genuine gaps. We're not in the business of selling you more software for its own sake — if a tool is earning its keep, it stays, and we work around it rather than over it.
Do I need to understand AI?
No — that's our job, not yours. You understand your business, and that's the part that actually matters. We handle the technology, explain it in plain English, and you'll never need to become a technical person simply to work with us.
Am I locked into anything?
No lock-in of any kind. The map is yours to keep, and anything we build works around tools that you own and control outright. Should you wish to stop, nothing breaks, and nothing is held hostage.
How long does it take?
The discovery call itself takes forty-five minutes. If we proceed to an audit, your map arrives roughly a week after the working session. Anything further is scoped honestly, in small and genuine steps — never as a year-long programme designed to keep us both busy.
What if there's nothing worth doing?
Then we'll tell you so, plainly, on the call and before you've spent a penny. If your current setup already fits, that's exactly what you'll hear. We'd rather be the ones who told you the truth than the ones who sold you something you didn't need.
